From the
invisible
to the wearable.
A process led by memory, research, material and the body.Follow the process The garment is not the beginning.
It is what remains after listening.
Practice / Quito, Ecuador
Research is not separate from making.
It lives inside every seam.
Daniela’s process moves between archive and intuition, allowing each material decision to carry the emotional weight of its source.
Memory · identity · territoryListen
Begin with what persists.
Every collection starts before the garment: with a memory, a territory, an object or an emotional contradiction that refuses to disappear.
Archive · drawing · reductionDistill
Translate source into language.
Images are traced, reduced and repeated. Cultural forms are studied through proportion, positive and negative space, and the visual rhythms they carry.
Texture · resistance · traceTest matter
Let material answer back.
Lace, canvas, knit, satin, found fragments and hand-built surfaces are tested for what they reveal, conceal, hold or distort.
Drape · silhouette · constructionBuild on the body
Structure becomes emotion.
Through draping, fitting and construction, the idea meets a living body. Proportion shifts until gesture, movement and concept feel inseparable.
Body · image · continuationCreate the image
The garment enters the archive.
Photography and movement complete the work—not as documentation alone, but as a final layer of meaning that returns the garment to memory.
Every collection begins differently.
